You only have to deal with master - slave, when you add more than one drive.
All of the PAR drives hook directly to the PAR and not to your system. I
don't know if you can get 10 min's but I think you can. I get quite a bit
with the Conner 500meg drive.

I bought mine from B&H and had no problems with them.

The only problem I had was, I was putting the PAR and TBC4 in an A4000.
There was not enough slots, I also had a SCSI and a Toaster in there. I
fixed the problem by putting the TBC4 in a old 8088 PC, since the TBC4 takes
a PC slot. What else are you going to do with a old PC like that anyway.
This also saved me from having to buy the Toaster Oven or something like
that. It took me about 2 hours to install both and have them running, plus
I had to make a longer cable to connect the two together. One more thing
these two device have saved me hours of single and capturing live video.
